Well last Wednesday night Mark and I were in bed and I am 100% sure I felt him kick for the first real time. I had been up all day on my feet in the kitchen making pies for Thanksgiving and I finnally laid down to relax. At first I thought it could be hiccups, but he is still breech so I knew when I got a hard hit to the pelvis region it was a kick. I know now that this has been going on for a while. He likes to become active right as I lay down to go to sleep! My belly is growing bigger and bigger by the day! Here is a picture that was taken a couple of weeks ago!

Unbelievable!
Well, on Monday November 12, we went back to have the 2D sonogram done and he decided to share himself with us. He showed it all. We got lots of good pictures of him and a 15 minute DVD of him moving around in my tummy. He was kicking and putting his hands in his face and everything. It was absolutley amazing to watch. When I called my sister to tell her that her nephew cooperated she told me the funniest thing. Jake, my 5 year old nephew is quite a character. When Brooke told Will and Jake about our baby being a little boy and his name was going to be Westin, Jake said," I can't wait to teach Western all the things I know how to do, like fishing and hunting and riding my bike." Is that not hysterical?
On that note, last night Mark and I decided against calling him Westin. We both really like the name, but neither one of us want him to be Wes Saenz. I know that is what it will turn in to in the future and I don't want him to be called Wes. So, we are in the process of renaming our little bundle of joy. As soon as we know what it will be, I will let you know!

Litttle Monster
Well, Friday we went to have a 2D sonogram done to be 100% sure that our litle one was a boy. Little did we know that he wasn't going to cooperate again! He would not uncross his legs. The poor doctor pushed and rubbed on my belly for about 30 minutes and he was not cooperating. Mark said he is going to be modest. I think he just wants to be difficult like his daddy. So, we are going back today to try again. I will let you all know the outcome as soon as I know.

It's A.....
Well we went to the doctor yesterday and after speding 30 minutes doing the sonogram, the doctor finally found what he says was a penis. He told us he was only 80 % sure because he was not cooperating at all, but we are going with it! That's right, it's a BOY!!! I am 19 1/2 weeks and showing like a champ. I am feeling great and starting to get some energy back. Although everyone told me it was a girl, Mark and I are thrilled to find out it is a boy! His name will be Westin Saenz. Yes, no middle name. His daddy doesn't have one, so neither will he! We are going to start a Saenz tradition! It was so amazing to see all his parts and watch him move around in my belly! Mark and I both were extactic watching it.

My First Maternity Wear
Everyone Now Knows
On September 10, 2007 Mark and I went back to the doctor and I was 11 weeks pregnant. We heard and saw the baby and everything was fine. I had shirts made for Mark and I to wear over to our parents house to tell them. Mark's parents were thrilled. This is the first grandbaby for them. My parents were also exstatic. My dad cried and could not believe it. The next day, I sent my mom the picture of us in the shirts and she just emailed me back and said wow, ya'll look good, cute pic. Then, about 5 minutes later I got another email from her and she said she didn't even read the shirts. She was very excited as well! I wore the shirt to school the next day to tell all the students and teachers. It is so nice to finally be able to tell everyone. I can now talk about it and be excited for our new family to begin!
We're Pregnant
Mark and I found out in late August that we were expecting. Our emotions were unexplainable and until now, we almost didn't believe it. Mark and I were trying for about a year, and on August 14 we heard the babies heart beat for the first time. We neglected to tell anyone until later due to some complications. Everything was fine, but the doctor wanted to make sure that all was well with Baby Saenz.
